| 1. | You cannot order directly from this site. Use it to research the phones and accessories you need and then contact Jim Lipsey at jlipsey@uaex.edu or 501-671-2296 when you are ready to order | |
| 2. | Those of us who were on the original Cingular contract when we switched to AT&T in late 2004 may receive a "number not active" error when selecting Upgrade/Replace Your Phone or Buy Accessories Only, which looks up your number. If you experience this problem, just browse for phones and accessories under the Buy New Wireless Service section. Since we don’t order from this site, this will not cause any problems. | |
| 3. | Cingular is now including their SIM chip with new phones. When you received your new phone, you will have to use the new Cingular chip and call Cingular to activate the phone. This will immediately render the old phone inactive. This also means you may not be able to move your phone book. | |
| 4. | The instruction sheet Cingular sends may be confusing. The correct phone numbers to call are | |
| National Business Services: 1-800-999-5445 to activate new phone | ||
| Business End-user Care - 1-800-290-1338 for problems | ||
| You will be asked to provide either your social security number or our Tax ID number when activating, plus the billing or shipping zip code. This call is usually automated but if you have problems, there is an option to talk to a real person. If asked to give your Cingular Foundation number, it is 98788. | ||
