Preparing to Use Centra Symposium

In order to participate in Centra Symposium online events you must insure that the Centra One client is loaded and that your computer meets the required specifications. This can be done anytime prior to the scheduled event and should be done a sufficient amount of time prior to the event so that any problems can be addressed.

1. Open Internet Explorer and type this URL in the address line http://centra.uaex.edu/main/uaex/  and you will be taken to the login page.
2. Choose System Check

3. This is the first page of the System Check which lists system requirements. Press the Start button to proceed with the System Check

4. The next page in the System Check is the Browser page. If your browser passes the requirements click the Continue button.

5. Next is the Security Warnings page, just click Continue.

6. On the next page you will receive a Security Warning asking if you want to install this software. Choose Install the Security Warning box.

7. The following window shows the installation progress. This may take a few minutes depending on your Internet connection speed.

8. When the software has finished loading the Network Check Results page will display. If it shows Passed click Continue to proceed to the Audio tests.

9. The next page will check your computer speaker volume. Please follow the instructions and click Next when you are finished.

10. The following page will help you test your microphone. Follow the instructions and click Next when you are finished.

11. On the next page you will choose the audio mode you will be using. Unless you are using a headset please leave the setting in Speaker Mode and click the Finish button.

12. Click Finish to complete the audio test.

13. The System Check Summary page will be displayed. Click Exit to be returned to the My Schedule page.

14. When you are back at the My Schedule page, click Log Out. You will now be ready for your first Centra conference.
