Edit/Check Proxy Security Settings
GroupWise proxy security allows you to grant and revoke access
to your calendar, tasks, notes and e-mails in GroupWise. This is especially
helpful in managing office schedules and tasks. Over time, we all need to check
our security levels to insure the settings are as we prefer.
From the GroupWise main window, select Tools and then Options.
Select Security and then select the Proxy Access tab.
Highlight each entry listed under Access list to see what rights have been
granted and change those rights as desired.
IMPORTANT:
If <All User Access> is listed in the Access list, select it to make sure that
only the Read box next to Appointments is checked, but no others are checked.
This will allow others to more easily schedule meetings with you through
GroupWise, but will protect your information from unauthorized changes. Uncheck
any other rights shown that you do not feel appropriate to grant.
If you have a coworker who regularly posts appointments to your calendar or
manages your mail when you are out of the office,
add them to the proxy access list if they are not already listed. To add someone
to the proxy access list, type his/her name in the Name: field and then select
Add User. Next select the name in the Access list and check the boxes next to
the types of services you want the person to have rights to perform for you.
To remove someone from the proxy access list, highlight his/her name in the
Access list and select Remove User.
When you have completed your changes in proxy security, select OK to exit the
security window and Close to exit the Options window.
