Background

Objectives

The Association is a non-profit organization, the major goal of which is to promote socio-economic research and information exchange on aquaculture, through:

  • Encouraging and fostering collaboration among economists, social and other scientists in aquaculture
  • Encouraging international cooperation in research, teaching and publication
  • Sponsoring symposia, conferences, meetings and other academic activities
  • Publication of its own journal

Services

  • The journal, Aquaculture Economics and Management, is now [from 2005] published by Taylor & Francis (Publisher), Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 USA
  • Special sessions organized at international conferences of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS)
  • Email newsletter planned for members
  • Abstracts are free of charge. FREE SAMPLE articles may be downloaded from Volume 4, Numbers 1 & 2, November 2000.
  • Further IAAEM activities are planned. Suggestions from members welcome.
