"Be flexible. . . .take on anything that will provide you with useful experiences and skills. . .don't be afraid to try something new or not in your primary field of study, taking these tangents may lead you into new areas of work and professional development. . . .become a life-long learner, school is never over. . . cultivate divergent interests and keep up on developments in your own field and related fields. . .PERSEVERE!!!!. . . . nothing lasts forever - neither the bad nor the good. . . . .network and build relationships with people in your field and in related fields, they will become more important to you than can possibly be imagined. . . . .don't be afraid to strike out on your own to pursue personal dreams, follow your heart and you will not go wrong. . . . . .strive to be the best you can, don't settle for just getting by. . . .mediocrity is a waste of your human potential. . . .when starting your career find a mentor to guide you. . . . .work with children whenever possible, they will give you back more than you will give them, they still see the world with wonder. . . .avoid becoming jaded and cynical as it is a real turnoff to your colleagues and to those who are coming after you. . . .create a vision of what you want to become and then strive to achive it, and remember you can modify that vision as you progress, don't become a slave to it. . . .cultivate a sense of humour, it will save you from taking yourself and your work too seriously. . . .life is all too short, live each day with some purpose and try to leave a legacy of good works and good friends. Cheers!"
