FeedingThe main feeding recommendation was to feed fish daily to satiation. However, labor constraint made feeding 7 days a week difficult. Labors constraint prevented the verification ponds from being fed more than six days a week. Aside from labor constraint, feeding recommendations were followed closely in pond A1 and A2, but some different feeding strategies were adopted in the other verification ponds for particular reasons. Therefore only the results from pond A1 and A2 are presented here. Pond A1 and A2 were fed to satiation up to six days per week (Figure 7). The average feeding rates increased from 19 and 24 lb/acre/day in April to 108 and 117 lb/acre/day in August, and started decreasing in September (Table 4). In terms of percent body-weight, the average feeding rates reached up to 4.0 and 3.7% body-weight per feeding day (Table 5).
