One of the UAPB graduate program’s greatest advantages is the
opportunity for travel and presentation at meetings. Each year
students have the opportunity to go to multiple in-state &
out-of-state meetings. These meetings are both scientific
meetings full of researchers and stakeholder meetings with such
organizations as the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the
Catfish Farmers of Arkansas. Before leaving for meetings or work related travel you will need to do some paper work. See the travel procedures handout in the graduate student packet for more information. Forms to be filled out can be found below: While at these meetings, registration, plane tickets, and housing expenses will most likely be paid for. However, meals, taxis and sometimes plane tickets/gas will not be paid for up front. To get your money back, students need to fill out a Travel Reimbursement Form; more commonly called a TR1 by the secretaries. This can be found below: The graduate student packet includes a printed example of how
to fill this form out. This form needs to be printed and signed
in triplicate and given to your secretary along with original
receipts for all school related expenses. |
