| Aquaculture Research Verification Program |
Yield Verification is a dynamic Extension program designed to
bring research-based production recommendations to producers.
This program was first developed for Arkansas cotton
producers in the early 1980’s and has since expanded to cover
all of Arkansas’ major row crops, beef cattle, and most
recently, aquaculture. The
verification process employs a holistic approach to the
development of best management practices for a cooperating
producer. The
resulting yield and other important economic and production
information is then collected and analyzed.
This process has proven to facilitate the flow of
technical information to producers as well as practical
production implications back to University researchers.
Results of catfish verification trials are available
on-line and baitfish yield verification trials are currently
being planned.
