The UAPB Aquaculture and Fisheries
Center is committed to developing new and improved technologies
to benefit our stakeholders. The Aquaculture Equipment
Development program grew out of an industry need for improved
harvesting, handling and grading technologies.
Over the past 10 years, this program has resulted in the development of an Up-Flow Fish Grading System, the UAPB In-Pond Fish Grader, an improved Reel System and Crowder Boat design, the development of the “Seinitizer” to disinfect commercial seines between harvesting events, the development of a flexible panel grading system, and oxygen systems for hatchery facilities.
