University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Aquaculture/Fisheries Center, Associate Director, 7/00-present.

University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Assistant then Associate Professor of Fish Pathology, 12/96 to present. Split appointment with duties in research (45%), teaching 10%, and Extension (45%). Teach "Biology of Fishes" and graduate "Fish Pathology." Manage the Fish Disease Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory at UAPB, Certify Fish for Export (the UAPB Lab is one of only 5 in the US certified by APHIS to do so), and oversee the operation of the 4-Laboratory UAPB Fish Disease Diagnostic Program (more than 2000 cases/yr.) Conduct fish disease research involving diseases of warmwater fishes. Register chemical compounds for aquaculture.

Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. 12/93 to 12/96. Postdoctoral Fellow.

Southeastern Cooperative Fish Disease Laboratory, Auburn University, Auburn, Al. 1990-1993. Diagnostic Fish Histopathology. Described and diagnosed fish diseases from all cases submitted for histopathology.

Auburn University, Auburn, AL. 1988-1993. Graduate Research Assistant. In addition to thesis research, ran a mobile toxicology bioassay laboratory, re-plumbed the disease research facility, and participated in the investigation of fish kills.

Microgen Aquaculture, Ithaca, NY. 1996. Consultant. Evaluation of business proposal and design of a 1.5 million lb/yr tilapia production facility.

Danbury Fish Farms, Danbury, TX. 1988. Consultant. Created computer program for inventory of sportfish farm with 30 species in 145 ponds.

Naiad Inc, Danbury, TX. 1988. Consultant. Helped to design a new 2000-acre vertically integrated catfish production facility that eventually produced more than 15,000 lbs fish/acre/yr. Wisely left for a graduate school long before Naiad went belly up.

D & D Fish Farms, Crockett, TX. 1984-1988. Biologist then General Manager/President. Cultured more than 30 species of fish in 150 acres of water on three farms (75 ponds) Established disease Diagnostic Laboratory. Produced more than 15,000,000 catfish fry per year.

Presto Foods Corp., Cleveland, Ohio. 1983-1984. Head of Aquaculture Research. Designed, built, and ran pilot intensive culture systems for tilapia.

Clovervale Foods, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio. 1979-1982. Research Project head. Designed and operated experimental intensive aquaculture systems for shrimp.
