ACAAA
Arkansas County Agricultural Agent's Association
Welcome to ACAAA
It’s my pleasure and honor to serve as your 2010 ACAAA President. I look forward working with the board and the members to help promote the objective of the association.
The objective of this association is to encourage mutual helpfulness among its members; to maintain the standard of excellence of the professionals who engage in the work; to uphold the teachings of the Division of Agriculture of the University of Arkansas and the Agricultural Experiment Stations.
I would ask you to mark on your calendars April 1-2, 2010, for the 2010 ACAAA State Meeting. This years’ meeting will be held in Searcy. Information on the meeting will be coming soon.
We had a good group (over 20) of agents attend the 2009 National Association of County Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference (NACAA AMPIC) in Oregon. Congratulations to our DSA recipients Jeff Welch and John Gavin and AA recipients Amy Simpson and Darrin Henderson. Arkansas was well represented in the poster presentations, program presentations and awards categories.
The 2010 NACAA AMPIC will be held on July 11-15 in Tulsa Oklahoma. This is a great opportunity to attend a national meeting without a tremendous travel cost. The AMPIC always offers educational seminars, workshops and tours that will benefit you as an agent. Some the best information I receive from these meetings is interacting with other agents from across the US.
Again, I look forward to serving as your president. If I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Brian
