Hello this is Sherri Sanders, County Extension Agent – Agriculture in White
County. Chris Olsen is to be the featured speaker in Beebe. The White County
Master Gardeners will host "An Evening With…Chris Olsen" on Thursday, November 6
at 6:30 p.m. Chris will teach decorating for the holidays in a program entitled
"Creating Your Own Winter Wonderland" as a fund raising event for the White
County Master gardener program. The evening will feature a buffet of seasonal
hors d’ oeuvres and beverages, catered by ASU’s University Café Catering
Service. Admission for the evening will be $25.00 per person. The event will be
held at the University Café located in the Student Center on the ASU Beebe
campus.
Attendees will be eligible for door prize drawings and will have the
opportunity to purchase items from Chris Olsen and his store, Botanica Gardens.
Chris has been associated with KTHV Channel 11, where he is known as the
"Garden Guru". He is featured on the morning, noon, and evening segments in the
Weather Garden, and has appeared several times in Arkansas Living: Holiday Style
with Chris Olsen. Prior to his work at Channel 11, Chris was featured on
Arkansas View on KKYK WB22.
There will be a limited number of seats available for the evening. Tickets
must be purchased in advance. Tickets will be held on a "will call" basis or
mailed, if desired. Admission is by pre-purchased tickets only. Tickets will not
