Pope County 4-H Big Winners

Big winners receive awards at 4-H banquet

We are excited about our program successes, highlighting just a few here.

Senior Grassland Evaluation Team: first in the state, fourth in Mid-America.
Wildlife (WHEP) and Forestry teams: second and third.

38 youth participated in the Ozark Regional O-Rama. Participants brought home 7 first place awards and 11 second place awards; all but four finished in the top five.

43 attended various State 4-H Camps this summer.

20 competed in State Shooting Sports competitions.

6 youth participated in the Teen Leader Conference.

4 prepared and attended High Adventure and Challenge.

17 attended the State 4-H O-Rama.

54 4-H record books were submitted, resulting in three state winners and nine regional winners.

In all, 20 clubs and 347 members make Pope County 4-H Youth strong in number and success.

Impacts

Youth are prepared to become better citizens through numerous club and community activities
Adult leaders are trained in skills that benefit not only our 4-H youth, but that also spill over into other community organizations and groups
