Polk County Master Gardeners Accomplishments
Polk County Extension Office

The project at the Polk County Extension Office included replanting and maintenance of the raised sign bed, a general clean-up, stump removal around the building, and replanting all the beds around the building.

It was later extended to include four demonstration plantings of lawn grasses.

The Extension Office project is an ongoing project of Polk County Master Gardeners. Beds will be maintained and plants added and removed as needed. The initial project was estimated at approximately 100 hours of Master Gardener work; ongoing maintenance will take between 60 and 70 hours annually.
