About Us
County Impact Statements - Montgomery County
Extension Homemakers have a long history of Education, Leadership
and Community Service
"I enjoy learning new things and teaching others what I have learned. EH
members have access to learning thru the University of Arkansas. We keep up to
date on the latest research. The Extension Homemakers Program develops
leadership skills and members work as a team volunteering in their communities."
- Billie Crane, Joplin E.H.C. member
Montgomery County Extension Homemakers are very active!
Four county-wide programs E-H-C members active in:

parents one on one and also teach in the monthly group session. EH members
provide free child care so the parents can attend the educational classes.
- E.H.C. members serve as chairmen and hostesses for the Creative Arts
Departments at the County Fair.
- E.H.C. members organize and conduct the Quilt show part of the Quartz,

states!
- E.H.C. members conduct Operation Santa Claus which provides Christmas
presents to needy children in the county. In December 2000, 340 county
