Vision 2010 Program Works In Hempstead County

Vision 2010 is a Community Development program conducted through the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Vision 2010 leads community groups through a strategic visioning process where they envision what they want their community to look like in the future. A plan of action is developed to help the community achieve their vision.

Hempstead County has a Vision 2010 community in Fulton and in Hope.

The Fulton Vision 2010 group is investigating the resources available in Fulton and western Hempstead County, and how those resources can be used to attract industrial and business development to the area.

The Hope Public Schools Vision 2010 group is a group of concerned community leaders who are working together to gather public opinions from school district residents. They want to know what the general public perceives as the strengths and weaknesses of the Hope Public Schools and what the public would like the Hope Public School system to look like in the future. Public opinion surveys have been distributed and the information gathering process is ongoing.
