About Us
County Impact Statements - Hempstead County
Each year since 1998, we have developed educational programs to
address the major issues and concerns identified by local clientele.
Annually, the Hempstead County Extension Council and county
Extension staff have reviewed our accomplishments and, if needed, made revisions
to the plan to address new challenges. It is our hope that these programs and
services have resulted in improved economic opportunities and quality of life
for our county’s residents.
The Hempstead County Extension program involves people in many
ways: as program participants, volunteer leaders, committee members, resource
people, financial supporters and advocates. We encourage you to become familiar
with our programs and become involved. We welcome your comments and suggestions
in order to plan programs that will meet the needs of our county. Please feel
free to visit the Hempstead County Extension office at any time to see how we
can work together for a better county educational program.
The Hempstead County Impact Sheets is a publication for
reporting our accomplishments. The Impact Sheets highlight individual county
programs that are innovative and target specific audiences within the county.
