development of diet-related chronic diseases.
A Health Fair was organized and conducted by the Grant County Extension
office and the Grant County Health Department. All services were provided free
to the public. These included: blood sugar, cholesterol, eye tests, hemoglobin,
nutritional counseling and blood pressure.
A two day mobile mammogram screening was provided by St. Joseph’s Mercy
Medical Clinic. "I have participated in the mobile mammogram screening for
the past two years. I have a history of breast cancer in my family. I think it
is very important to receive an annual screening. The mobile unit is very
convenient, because I do not have to drive to a big city to get a mammogram."
