Faulkner County Master Gardeners
Services

Services Provided to the Community by Master Gardeners

In 2009, Faulkner County Master Gardener volunteers gave almost 8500 hours of service to the community and participated in almost 4000 hours of education.

Master Gardeners:

  • do hands-on gardening.
  • research specific problems.
  • speak to groups in local schools and community organizations.
  • respond to garden queries made to the Cooperative Extension Office.
  • plant educational and therapeutic gardens.

The volunteer service and continuing education of the Master Gardener Program enables the Cooperative Extension Service to provide practical and scientific gardening information to the citizens of Faulkner County.
