4-H Youth Development
Welcome to Drew County 4-H!
Have you ever wondered what 4-H is all about? Well, now is your opportunity
to learn more about it. Arkansas 4-H is the youth development part of the
Family, Youth, and 4-H Education program of the University of Arkansas
Cooperative Extension Service, Division of Agriculture.
The 4-H youth development program provides opportunities for youth to acquire
knowledge, develop skills, form attitudes, and practice behaviors that will
enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of
society.
There are no membership fees to join 4-H. Ages of members range from 5-19.
For competitions, 4-H’ers are divided into the following age groups:
- Cloverbuds 5-8 years old
- Juniors 9-13 years old
- Seniors 14-19 years old
The 4-H emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter H on each leaf. The four
Hs stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.

My heart to greater loyalty,
My hands to larger service
My health to better living, for my club, my community, my
Country and my world
4-H colors:
Green - nature’s most common color, symbolizes springtime, life,
and youth
White - symbolizes purity and high ideals
