4-H Youth Development

Welcome to Drew County 4-H!

Have you ever wondered what 4-H is all about? Well, now is your opportunity to learn more about it. Arkansas 4-H is the youth development part of the Family, Youth, and 4-H Education program of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Division of Agriculture.

The 4-H youth development program provides opportunities for youth to acquire knowledge, develop skills, form attitudes, and practice behaviors that will enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society.

There are no membership fees to join 4-H. Ages of members range from 5-19. For competitions, 4-H’ers are divided into the following age groups:

  • Cloverbuds 5-8 years old
  • Juniors 9-13 years old
  • Seniors 14-19 years old

The 4-H emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter H on each leaf. The four Hs stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
