Master Gardener projects in 2003 included:

maintaining the landscape of the Craighead County Courthouse in Jonesboro
work at the new Arkansas Game and Fish Nature Center located in Jonesboro
Providing plants to shut-ins at nursing homes
work at the ASU greenhouses and horticulture Gardens
staffing a booth full time at the Northeast Arkansas District
providing assistance to the staff of the Craighead County Extension Office.

Planting and maintaining the landscape of the County Courthouse is one Master Gardener Project.

Impacts

75 Master Gardeners volunteered over 4,500 hours of work on community service projects in Craighead County.
22 non-master gardeners were trained in 2003.
Master Gardeners must provide in return for training 40 hours of community service work within the first year after completion of the course and 20 hours in subsequent years.
