County Impact Statements - Columbia County
The development of Extension programs has always been a grassroots driven
process. Major points of emphasis in our work are determined with input from
local citizens who volunteer their time and effort serving on the County
Extension Council and on program planning committees. The planning committees
identify needs in the county which are then prioritized by the County Extension
Council. The Extension office then develops programs to address those needs.
These impact sheets give you a brief overview of some of the areas of work
addressed by the Columbia County Extension office. While Extension provides much
of the technical expertise for these programs, numerous hours of volunteer
service go into making classes, workshops, field days, 4-H activities, and
Extension Homemaker Clubs work.
We hope you will take a few moments to look over these program
accomplishments to become familiar with our programs. We welcome your comments
and suggestions on how we can better serve the citizens of this county.
It is with pleasure that we submit to you this brief overview of the Columbia
County Extension Program.
