Ivory W. Lyles was appointed Associate Vice President for Agriculture-Extension, University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension, on October 1, 2000. Prior to that he served as District Supervisor with the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service. He is a native of Scott County, Mississippi, where he grew up on a small farm. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics at Alcorn State University, a MS degree at Mississippi State University and a PhD in agricultural education administration at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He began his professional career as an Assistant County Agent in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He has worked in the following positions:
Dr. Lyles is married to the former Pauletta Moore, a teacher. He is the father of four children: Maurice, Lamond, Eddie and Irish. |
