Treasurer: Daryl Weldon

Hi, my name is Daryl Weldon.  I was born and raised in the Mile High City.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Oregon in 2002.  The emphasis of my undergraduate career was neurobiology, marine sciences, and chemistry.  My experience in aquaculture before coming to UAPB was raising zebrafish and sticklebacks for embryological neural development experiments at U of O and the University of Colorado-Health Sciences Center.  I really enjoy raising fish and the main emphasis of my research here at UAPB is finfish nutrition.  In the future I hope to work as a Fish Culturist for a state hatchery and eventually teach college level biology and work in marine resource management using GIS to monitor productivity of natural systems through the application nutritional indices.

Editor/Secretary: Calvin Fisher

Hello, my name is Calvin Fisher.  I was born in Phoenix, Arizona.  From there I moved to Springs, Colorado where I lived until I was 10.  I then moved to Long Beach, Mississippi where I have lived most of my life.  I graduated from Long Beach High School in 2006.  During high school, I gained an interest in the aquaculture/fisheries field and was able to obtain a scholarship to UAPB.  While at UAPB, I was able to get a student internship.  I was awarded the undergraduate student of the year award and also the catfish farmers of Arkansas scholarship which required that I give a presentation at the annual CFAS meeting.  Later that year, I also gave that same presentation at the annual research forum.
