Christie
Adelsberger
My name
is Christie Adelsberger. I completed a B.S. in Fish and Wildlife
Science at Oregon State University in 2005. I worked for the US
Geological Survey as a Biological Science Technician, then for
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife as an Experimental Biological
Aid. I finished my first year of temporary jobs as a Fishery
Biologist researching endangered Catostomids in southern Oregon. I
began school here at UAPB in spring of 2007. My thesis research is
investigating natural life history characteristics of the bigmouth
sleeper in Puerto Rico. In my free time I love to play guitar,
mountain bike, road bike, and wrestle my roommates.

Lael Will
My name is Lael Anita Will. I grew up in
Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with
bachelors in Marine Resource Development. I worked for the U.S. Fish
and Wildlife Service at the Warm Springs Regional Fisheries Center in
Georgia, as an SCA intern, and as a Fish Biologist in Northern
California. My graduate research at UAPB is fish communities and
habitat use on gravel bars in the Arkansas River.

Elliott Kittel
Hi, my name is Elliott Kittel. I was born in
the Philippines in 1988. My mother is Filipino and my father is
American. During my life, I have lived in the Philippines, Bangladesh,
Indonesia, Hawaii, Colorado, Guam, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas
and Arkansas. For two years, I interned for the North Carolina Wildlife
Resources Commission through the Hutton Junior Fisheries Program. I
aided the states biologists with brook trout studies, trout distribution
surveys, and worked on the Armstrong State Fish Hatchery. Working at
the hatchery, I helped with general Facility Maintenance, feeding and
stocking runs. I participated on stream surveys, electroshocking
surveys, radio telemetry surveys and more. My personal interests
include bass guitar, music and movies. I also play for UAPB tennis
team. In addition, I have helped the UAPB Internation Student Club with
presentations and by helping them set up activities.

Jeffrey Horne
Hello, my name is Jeffrey
Horne and I have been elected as Secretary of AFC club. I am originally
from Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. I graduate Mansfield University of
Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries Biology and
Environmental Science. I am currently working on my Master's Degree here
at UAPB and looking at the effects of stocking on wild largemouth bass
populations. I have worked as a nature conservation director for Boy
Scouts and hatchery technician in Pennsylvania at both a state and federal
hatchery. Some of my hobbies include fishing, kayaking, herpetology, and
other outdoor types of activities.

Leonardo Matthews
My name is Leonardo Matthews. I am from Bridgeport, Connecticut. I
attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Majoring in fisheries
biology. I am the recipient of the National Cooperative Fisheries
Scholarship and I am a biological Resources Division (BRD) scholar.
During the fall of 2006 and most of the spring of 2007, I assisted Dr.
Lochmann in his research project on otolith shape analysis.
