Research Involvement

Measuring water quality variables on the Arkansas River.2006-present. Assessment of fish community responses in relation to mitigation strategies associated with dredging in the lower Arkansas River.

2003-present. Characterization of black bass population dynamics in the lower 11 pools of the Arkansas River.

2001-2003. Lake Texoma (Oklahoma-Texas) assimilative capacity study. Assessed spatial and temporal patterns in littoral- and riparian-zone biotic assemblages of Lake Texoma relative to anthropogenic stresses. Establishment of reference conditions in Lake Texoma for environmental impact assessment.

2001-2002. Assessed the potential of fish predation to impact zebra mussel Dreissena polymorpha populations across a latitudinal gradient using a bioenergetic-based modeling approach.

Snorkeling1997-2001. Evaluation of catfish bioenergetics in different riverine habitats of the lower Mississippi River in relation to seasonal flooding regimes (dissertation topic).

1999-2000. Analysis of floodplain inundation patterns in the lower Mississippi River using a geospatial (Geographic Information System) approach.

1996-1998. Lower Mississippi River fisheries and floodplain investigations. Assessed spatial and temporal variation in riverine fish assemblages in response to different river trainment strategies.
