Registration can be a very confusing subject for many new grad
students at UAPB. So to help new students, we have come up
with a step by step process of registering below:
- Get a copy of the graduate student catalog and a
Registration Sheet from one of the secretaries. This will
contain (among other things) a list of classes. Most
classes are offered every other year. A copy of a registration
sheet is also included in the graduate student packet.
- Write all required information on the registration sheet
and have your adviser sign the registration sheet.
- Now, depending on your office location you will have one of
three people to go to. They will enter your information, stamp
your registration sheet and get you registered.
- If your office is in Woodard Hall, you need to see
Delila Thurman.
- If your office is in the 1890 extension building, you
should see Cassandra Byrd.
- If your office is in the S.J. Parker building, you will
need to visit Marolyn Farris.
Note: If a balance remains on your account, you need to go
to the cashier’s window at student accounts in the Administration
building to pay your balance. You then can go back and get
registered.
- If you are going to do payroll deduction to pay for the
fees for the semester you will need to do an extra step.
You need to go to student accounts located in the L.A.
Davis Student Union Ballroom between the library and the
Applied Science Building. (See
campus map) Remember to
bring a copy of your stamped registration sheet and any
other materials your secretary has given you regarding
registration.
- Once in the student union there will be several lines
for registration.
- Go to the one labeled Student Accounts and fill out a
payroll deduction form. They will calculate how much to
take out each check so that fees are paid before you
register for classes the next semester. If you wish to
receive a bill and pay in one lump sum, you may skip this
extra step at registration.
